It's busy, busy in Hill City, as bikers line Main Street the weekend before the official start of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Brett McMacken, the Hill City administrator, says the city closes Main Street to non bikers when they see a lot of biker activity. This year the street was closed Friday, and McMacken says Hill City usually closes the street Friday or Saturday.
Toby Williamson, a biker who visited Hill City Saturday, says he likes the streets being closed to cars. "You got enough bikes to fill it up, I mean it generates more - people will spend some money if they're here," said Williamson.
One English couple on their honeymoon says having the streets closed to cars is a new thing for them. "I think we should do it in England more often," said Lee Page. His new bride agreed. "It makes a change having it for motorcycles. They usual close the roads off for cars, so it makes a change," said Julie Page.
