Canadian man killed in motorcycle accident


A Canadian man died on Saturday, Aug. 3, when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Nemo Road west of the intersection with Westberry Trails.

Roberto L. Gasbar, 56, of Edmonton, Alberta, was eastbound riding a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the vehicle drifted onto the south shoulder and overturned.

Gasbar was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.

Pennington County Sheriff's Office and Doty Volunteer Fire Department assisted.
