Canadian biker killed in Sheridan County crash

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a Canadian biker was killed in an accident on U.S. Highway 14A west of Burgess Junction in Sheridan County, Wyoming.

Nina Fonger, 45, of Saskatchewan was following two other motorcycles, one of which was operated by her husband. Fonger's brakes locked-up when she tried to avoid some deer that were crossing the highway. She lost control, overturned and slid across the center- line where she was struck by a pick-up that was pulling a camper trailer.

Fonger was killed. No one else was seriously hurt.

The crash caused a temporary closure of the road for approximately two hours Wednesday.
