A Colorado church group is taking their mission to fight hunger - on the road.
Forty-three middle school students and 12 adults from St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Highland Ranch, Colorado are collecting food and funds to support the Cornerstone Rescue Mission in Rapid City.
So far, the group has raised almost $1,000 and collected 10 grocery carts full of food. And, it's only the beginning of the week.
"We have just been absolutely amazed at the level of support that the community of Rapid City has given us. We took in the first load, from the first morning, to the food bank and they were just stunned."
The students are split into six different teams working at both Safeway and Sam's club. They'll be volunteering all week.
