SD Department of Transportation wants citizen input

Maintaining city infrastructure has been a major concern in Rapid City for some time.

Now the South Dakota Department of Transportation is looking to citizens for input.

Tonight the Department of Transportation will meet to discuss their four year Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP.

They will let tax payers know where their money is going and inform them about upcoming projects.

The main focus will be the input given from those in attendance.

"We enjoy having a lot of input, if we don't get input from the public we will proceed with our plans as best as we know how and with the systems we have available." said Region Operations Engineer, Tom Horan.

The meeting will be held tonight at the Ramkota Best Western at 7 PM.
