He recently formed a exploratory committee about running for either Governor of South Dakota, US House, or US Senate. On Monday, he met with people in Rapid City to say he will focus on one race.
South Dakota Representative Stace Nelson held a meet and greet in Rapid City. He says people in Rapid City who are concerned about the future of the country have reached out to him.
Nelson explained he wants to concentrate on the Senate race.
"The bottom line is we've got to get citizen legislators back in our state and federal government and get this mess cleaned up. I've got two grand children, as an old broken down marine, I've got to look at them in the eyes someday and tell them I did the best I possibly could to save this country from the route it's on right now," said Nelson.
Nelson has been a State Representative for District 19, far eastern South Dakota, since 2010.
