Keeping our finances in check is a major responsibility and rarely sounds easy. However experts say some financial tasks are not as hard to accomplish as we think.
An unbalanced checkbook and tax season stress out many people. But financial consultants, like Frank Boley at D.A. Davidson in Sheridan, say there are easy steps you can take to solve many financial problems.
Stopping by an IRS or accounting office can help solve questions with complicated tax laws and keeping a personal budget can go a long way.
"Budgeting can be a challenge for folks living within their means. But certainly a good place to start there is to track your spending over the course of a month or a couple of months and get a real strong sense as to what you're spending," said Boley.
If you don't have online banking, Boley suggests keeping an accurate checkbook and holding onto credit card statements to help with budgeting.
