Huge crowds packed the Downtown Sheridan sidewalks to watch their favorite floats stroll down Main Street for the annual Wyo Rodeo Parade.
Floats from local businesses, city agencies, the nearby Crow Nation, and many others entertained onlookers Friday morning in the traditional rodeo week highlight.
A parade fan who is from Sheridan says the event gives everyone in the community something to celebrate together.
"It's just fun to get caught up in the excitement with the crowds of all the people and everyone just takes so much pride in coming together for this event and everyone just has so much fun," said Viva McGill.
Even though the sky was cloudy in the morning and a few rain drops did fall, the crowd was in too good a mood to let it ruin the experience.
"The weather's perfect. I mean it's much better to be overcast like it is today than beating down on you at 95 degrees. So couldn't ask for a better day today," said Lynn Kirkpatrick of Sheridan.
Rodeo week continues Saturday with the Miss Indian America Reunion Luncheon at noon and the final pro rodeo performance of the week at 7 p.m.
