Two Rapid City men were arrested early this morning, following an armed robbery and pursuit.
Just before midnight on July 6, Rapid City police were called to the Saint Pat Casino.
Two men, 30-year-old Rudolph Gabe, and 23-year-old Bradley Lightfoot, had entered the casino, and one pointed a handgun at the male clerk and demanded money.
The second man was brandishing a cane sword.
The pair fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Around 12:10 a.m. on July 7, Pennington County Sheriff's deputies initiated a traffic stop on a speeding van on Radar Hill Road.
The suspect refused to pull over, and led deputies on a pursuit toward Box Elder.
During the pursuit, the suspects threw cash out the windows.
The suspects intentionally ran their vehicle off Radar Hill road near Mule Deer Trail, crashing through several fences before coming to a stop.
One suspect stayed with the vehicle; the other was found hiding in a field nearby.
It was later determined that the suspects were also involved in a gas drive-off on West Omaha earlier in the night.
Gabe was arrested for first degree robbery and theft.
Lighfoot was arrested for first degree robbery, aggravated eluding, felony destruction of private property, driving without a license, DUI, theft, and simple assault domestic violence (the assault charge stems from an earlier incident).
The South Dakota Highway patrol and Box Elder Police Department assisted the Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff's Office in the apprehension of the suspects.
Sgt. Chris Hislip of the Pennington County Sheriffs Office says not all of the money has been recovered
If found, Hislip asks for anyone to contact the sheriffs office and return the money.
