People in Rapid City who want to raise chickens inside city limits try to persuade city council members to vote for the ordinance.
While the ordinance was not voted on Monday, the topic still managed to generate quite bit of discussion.
The proposal would allow up to 6 hens in a persons backyard.
Savanna Steen, a member of Rapid City Hens, says the group will work to educate the community on the issue before council members make their decision.
The city council has not scheduled a vote at this point.
