July 1st marks the one-year anniversary of a crash that killed four airmen fighting a wildfire near Edgemont.

Members of the National Guard and the airmen's loved one's are gathering at the crash site, which is seven miles north of Edgemont, to dedicate an interpretive site.
Black Hills National Forest supervisor Craig Bobzien says the memorial site will allow people to visit, pause and reflect on the airmen's selfless service.

Four members of the six-person air crew died there when strong winds out of a thunderstorm caused the air tanker to crash into a ridge top.
