Cyclist hit by car on Saint Patrick Street

A Rapid City teen had quite a scare Friday morning after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.

According to Rapid City Police Spokesperson Tarah Heupel, the 20-year-old man on the bike was heading east on Saint Patrick Street when he crossed into the street.  At the same time, a car turned right from Saint Patrick to Third Street and the two collided.

The man on the bike was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Heupel says the cyclist did not stop before entering the street and the driver of the vehicle didn't see him.

No citations were issued.
