BH Power updates technology to improve customer reliability


One KOTA Territory corporation is looking to improve customer reliability with some new updates.
Black Hills Corporation has recently renovated their reliability center by adding the latest in new technology.

The center simplifies system maintenance and manages thousands of miles of transmission and distribution lines all in one place.

The center monitors power activity 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Eric Egge, Director of Electric Services says the ultimate goal is customer satisfaction.
"The ultimate goal is to make sure the customer have the power they expect when they expect it, that the lights flip on when you flip that switch, its available to you and to make sure we are providing safe reliable and efficient service that they demand and deserve," said Egge
Renovations began in early 2011 and were completed in May of 2013. This tracks of the power of 200,000 electric customers.
