Farm Bill fails in the House

The House failed to pass the Farm Bill Thursday.

Republicans blamed the Democrats ... who were upset with some of the cuts in the bill including $10 Billion dollars less for food stamps.

A majority of Republicans voted for the bill ...including South Dakota's Representative Kristi Noem.

But many walked away saying the cuts are not enough.

The food stamp program has doubled in cost over the last five years to almost $80 billion dollars a year and now helps to feed 1 in 7 Americans.

Noem says she is still committed to passing the Farm Bill.

She's hoping congress can regroup in the coming days and figure out a better bipartisan solution.
