State Senator considering a run for U.S. Senate

Posted:

State Senator Larry Rhoden is strongly considering a run for U.S. Senate and his decision could come soon.

Rhoden says he has been thinking about running since last July.

If Rhoden does decide to run for U.S. Senate he will be campaigning against former Governor Mike Rounds.

Rounds is the favorite for the seat but Rhoden believes he is just as cut out for the job and can make a difference.

"The politics as usual in Washington D.C. aren't working and our nation is in a great deal of trouble right now.We need people that will go there with the right heart with a heart to make changes in the way we are doing business in D.C. and status quo isn't going to work."

Rhoden plans to make a final decision in the next few weeks.
