The Arch Coal Foundation honored 13 Wyoming classroom teachers this week with Golden Apple Awards certificates.
The Golden Apple Awards are part of the Arch Coal Foundation's Teacher Achievement Awards program, which honored 10 outstanding Wyoming teachers earlier this month. Golden Apple Award recipients earned finalist status in the program, distinguishing them as the top tier of the 2013 nominees along with those recognized as Teacher Achievement Award recipients.
"We salute these Golden Apple recipients for their dedication to classroom teaching excellence," said vice president of external affairs for Arch Coal Greg Schaefer in a press release.
A few KOTA Territory teachers were among those receiving Golden Apple Awards. Those included Sarah Glasser from Wright Junior Senior High School, Michael Maroney from Sage Valley Junior High School in Gillette, Sundance Elementary School's Gerri Moore, and Heidi Richins of Sheridan High School.
