Police Identify body found in ditch behind Rapid City car dealership

Investigators from the Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff's Office have identified the man found deceased on Monday afternoon. The man's has been identified as James Tracke, 65, who's last known residency was Pine Ridge. Detectives thank the public for their willingness to assist with identification. 

The man was found lying in a drainage ditch Monday, and had been deceased for at least 48 hrs before his body was found. Preliminary autopsy results did not reveal any trauma that may have directly caused his death, though he did have a heart condition and possible lung infection at the time he died. Full autopsy results will be complete in 2-3 weeks. The investigation is continuing.
