Gasoline at some stations in Rapid City is nearly 30 cents more per gallon from a couple weeks ago.
Most stations are posting $3.30 per gallon, an increase of about 20 cents in a week.
Across South Dakota, average gasoline prices have risen 38 cents per gallon in the past week to $3.97.
This compares with the national average increase of nine cents to $3.67. The national average has increased 17 cents during the last month and stands three cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
But this has not caused anyone at the pump to changing their fill-up routine.
"I have to travel for my job," said Makayla Leech. "So I have to be on the road quite a bit."
"I don't even pay attention to the gas prices," said Olivia Plentyholes. "I just pay
attention to what's on the gas tank, if it's on empty it's time to put gas in."
