With spring in full swing it's the perfect time to go outside and do yard work. But consumer credit experts say maintaining your home and yard is important to do all year round.
By regularly maintaining your home and yard your house will more likely appreciate in value. Terry Mills, Education and Community Outreach Manager at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Black Hills, says making sure your yard is in good shape is especially important when selling because it's the first thing people see.
"Curb appeal is a huge, huge part of selling your house on the backend. So that's why the maintenance is important. Keep it updated and keep it modern and new," said Mills.
Mills suggests homeowners put a home maintenance budget in their spending plan.
