Leather trade show comes to Sheridan

Posted:

Sheridan is hosting one of Wyoming's biggest conventions this weekend.

The Twentieth Annual Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show is attracting vendors and consumers from all over the country.  The free trade show started Friday and includes 55 exhibitors and 50 workshops.

Entries of the World Leather Debut contest are on display as well.  The contest features more than 120 originally created leather items.

Organizers say thousands of people are making their way through the Holiday Inn in search of leather products are tools.

"These are the things that people need to make things in leather.  So you can buy hides.  You can buy tools to stamp with.  You can buy conditioners and cleaners," said organizer Charil Reis.

Wyoming's third largest trade show wraps up Sunday when it will be open from nine in the morning to two in the afternoon.
