Investigators say juveniles started grass fire near Piedmont

Meade County investigators believe a group of juveniles started an eight acre fire near Piedmont Saturday, but as of Sunday, there were no arrests made.
According to Meade County Sheriff, Ron Merwin, the fire was started by either matches or a lighter. He says the suspects are between nine and 12 years old.

The fire, just off of Exit 48, began mid-afternoon Saturday and was completely out by around 4:30 p.m.  No structures were damaged and there were no injuries reported.
The Black Hawk and Piedmont Fire Departments responded.  The Meade County Sheriff's Office is handling the ongoing investigation.
