A group of walkers, who belong to an actual walking group enjoyed a sort of unique trek Saturday.
Nearly every weekend throughout the year, the Black Hills Volkssport Association hosts various outdoor sporting events.
The goal of BHVA is to promote physical fitness and good health by providing fun-filled, safe exercises in a stress free environment.
"I did the 10k, lots of flowers out, the tree's are blossoming," said Diane Johannesen of the BHVA Club. "I saw lots of tulips and that and then historical buildings, through the cemetery, there's always a lot to see."
"In conjunction with the walk, Sturgis celebrated its 125th Anniversary of incorporation.
According to Kathy Christenson, the Events and Membership Coordinator at the Chamber in Sturgis, Saturdays walk was different then most.
"A lot of the Volksmarches that you'll find are up in the hills because it's such a beautiful area," said Christenson. "But because of what we're celebrating this way, we did the urban."
