A Rapid City woman is doing her part to raise money to benefit the victims of the West, Texas plant explosion earlier this month.
Melynda Passmore is a member of a national online community called Fire Wives, the support group, for wives, girlfriends, and fiances of firefighters is selling t-shirts.
All of the proceeds will go to the families who lost a loved one to the explosion.
"We started off with a little goal of 150 shirts sold. We are over 750 sold
now. Which is awesome. Over a $6,500 dollar profit. So we obviously blew our goal way out of the water," says Passmore.
The fundraiser goes through May 12th.
Passmore hopes to double what they've raised so far.
