At the start of the week, we had more than 10 inches of snow.
Friday, the sun is shining and the snow is melting thanks to
temperatures in the 70-degree range – meaning spring may have finally sprung.
Western South Dakota is
known for its wild weather swings.
And as we round out the week, the forecast has taken a turn
for the better.
At Rapid City's Canyon Lake
Park, little is left of
the snow that has been piling up the last three weeks.
People were out in full force enjoying the morning
temperatures in the mid-60s.
From fishing to jogging, to playing on the playground swings, the wait for winter to end is over ... finally.
