A local credit union wants to help people save a million dollars in loan interest this year. The Northern Hills Federal Credit Union kicked off their Community Challenge that will not only help people with their finances but also help local charities.
When the community saves one million dollars the Northern Hills Federal Credit Union will donate a total of $7,000.
"I love the fact that it is a win win for everyone. It's a win for our members when they're saving interest money and it's a win for the charities. The people that need so much help and it actually helps to raise awareness level of the individual charities that participate," said Cindy Griffin, Northern Hills Federal Credit Union CEO.
"Well now it's about getting the vote out and maybe refinancing our own mortgages," said Pearl Gulbranson, Director of Crisis Intervention Service.
