Storms delay Rapid City construction

As the snow fell, road construction came to a halt and a major Rapid City road project fell behind.

The Jackson Boulevard project is now two to three weeks behind schedule.

However, with better weather in the forecast, officials say construction should pick up again this week.

Crews plan to compress the schedule to get this phase of the project done on time or ahead of schedule.

At least 2 other road construction projects will see a two to three week delay: Interstate 90 at spearfish and Wall.

Construction on Jackson Boulevard should be done by the end of the year.
