Spring storm hits Sheridan

The Sheridan area has seen three winter storms go through this month.  Although the city has not seen nearly as much snowfall as Gillette or South Dakota.

But the National Weather Service says reports of seven to nine inches came in from Sheridan Monday morning.

Even though people in town are annoyed with the travel problems caused by the snow storm, most are also pleased to see much needed moisture.

"We do need the moisture and whatever time of year it comes it's a good thing.  This has a very good quality to it," said Keith Davis of Sheridan.

"I know most of the ranchers around, generally and I know how they depend on moisture," said Jeff Grover of Sheridan.

Transportation officials posted a no travel advisory Monday morning, but lifted it by the afternoon for I-90, US-87, and US-14 in the Sheridan area.
