For many adults, and yes, some kids, the heavy wet snow makes it extra tough to shovel. And, for students in Rapid City and surrounding areas, Monday's snow day means a shorter summer break. "It kinda sucks because they keep canceling school," Central High School student Nick Adams said.
This latest bout of winter weather has shattered April snowfall records to the dismay of many.
However, for some, the moisture, no matter what month it falls in, is welcome reprieve from the drought. "The main thing is we've got the moisture and that's a plus," Randy Kauer of Rapid City said.
