The defense attorney for a man charged with causing the death of another man in a motel parking lot wants evidence from the State.
Charles Birdshead's attorney says she has not received various documents including videos, autopsies, DNA samples, and copies of subpoenas of Facebook accounts.
30-year-old Birdshead is charged with felony manslaughter for the shooting death of 33-year-old Eustacio Maruffo at the South Dakota Rose Inn on January 7th.
Birdshead's attorney wants a two week trial in July, but the judge won't set a trial date yet. Birdshead's next court appearance will be April 30th.
