Snow falling but melting in Rapid City

Here it comes!
By 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, only about a "handful" of flakes were sticking in downtown Rapid City.

But it's not like Mother Nature isn't trying.

The flakes started flying around 9:00 a.m.  So far, the wet snow is melting as it hits the ground. But, as we saw last week when a record 20 inches fell in Rapid City, it's just the beginning.
At least 30 South Dakota communities and school districts held elections Tuesday after last week's storm resulted in a one-week postponement.
