Police seek public's help in Rapid City robbery

Rapid City Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in a robbery. Just before 9 p.m. on April 6, a man entered the Big D convenience store on West Main Street, brandishing a large knife.

He left the store with money from the register and the clerk's purse.

He's described as a large man, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing between 200-250 pounds.

Police believe he may have left in a white four-door sedan, possibly a Buick Lesabre.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Rick Arlaud at 394-4134, or send an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD' and the info to 847411. Anonymous crime tips can also be sent to police using the ‘Submit a Tip' tab on our Facebook page, or using the secure online form at www.rcgov.org/Police/crimeprevention.html.
