Box Elder mayor holds state of the city address

The Box Elder Mayor held his first State of the City Address on Thursday. Mayor William Griffiths spoke at the Pioneer Senior Center.

He addressed some of the issues the city is facing. One of his big talking points was the fact there is not enough tax revenue. He wants people to know there are viable businesses in Box Elder.

He thinks these meetings are the perfect way for people to stay informed.

"I just thought why don't we do this, put it together. It's never been done. This way we can inform the people, because there are a lot of people that don't know what's going on. They need to know what's going on," said Mayor Griffiths.

The Box Elder City Addresses will be held at many locations in the city through April 8th.
