Rapid city's Art Alley could soon be restored to its former glory.
Last night, the Rapid City Council gave the "go ahead" to a new artists group that will work to restore the alley as a downtown tourist attraction.
The newly formed guild, with the help of Black Hills Power, has already succeeded in replacing burnt out light fixtures.
Several property owners recently raised concerns about lighting, maintenance, and vandalism in the alley.
Council members left it to community members to come up with a solution to the problem, but praised the group for their efforts in cooperation with area businesses.
