Pipes, drums, and wooden nickels kick off the festivities Sunday afternoon in Deadwood, for the annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade.
Even though heavy snow started falling, hundreds of people still lined Main Street in downtown Deadwood.
Their mission was to collect all types of Irish goodies and watch the floats roll by.
Most people at the parade, have been celebrating most of the day so far.
"We went to have lunch at Flannigan's in Spearfish. We had corned beef and cabbage and mashed potatoes, and a Guinness to celebrate the day. Then we decided to come up and watch the parade and the last few years we've gotten sunburn on this day, so today is a little bit different, we've had a good time," says Chris & Taylor Harwood of Spearfish.
Deadwood also lifted its open-container law both Saturday and Sunday.
