A mob of runners dressed in green celebrate Saint Patrick's Day early at the annual Dublin Dash.

More than 600 runners dressed from head to toe in their Saint Patty's Day attire ran or walked in the 7th Annual Dublin Dash.

Willie Hinker, Chairman of the event says all money raised goes to benefit the School of Mines American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

They will use the money to attend national and regional conferences throughout the remainder of the school year.

"I am really surprised and really happy with the turn out today. We'll be running up the hill south of campus and throughout much of Rapid City before ending at a parking lot south of Dublin Square," says Hinker.

There was also a costume contest with door prizes for the best Saint Patrick's costumes.
