The Hot Springs Police Department has released the name of the man found dead in a city park, Wednesday night.

David Marsh, 54, was discovered in Brookside Park. His driver's license was issued in the state of Iowa.

Police are still classifying the death as unattended. The investigation is ongoing.

The Hot Springs Police Department is investigating a death that happened Wednesday night. A new release from VA Black Hills Health Care System in Hot Springs confirms the victim is a veteran.

But no other information, including cause of death, a name or age is being released until his family members have been notified.

"Whenever we learn of the death of a Veteran it saddens all of us. That was the case last night when we learned of the death of a Veteran found in Hot Springs. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends," said Steve DiStasio, VA BHHCS Director.
