The 10th Annual MUMPS Festival made its way though Rapid City today.
The March Unplugged Musical Performance Showcase, housed local bluegrass bands at the Dahl Arts Center.
Musicians wielding various acoustic instruments donated their time not only to give listeners a day filled with entertainment, but also to raise money for the Black Hills Bluegrass Festival this June.
The event was sponsored by the Black Hills Bluegrass Association.
Bob Schilling, a long time member was excited that the crowd had a chance to enjoy what he called "True American music."
"One thing about bluegrass musicians is they are some of the top people in their fields," Schilling said. "Especially instrumentally, sometimes vocally, incredible harmony. It's just pure music."
According to Schilling, this years MUMPS Festival had one of the best turnouts in years.
There will be another chance to hear some of the best sounding bluegrass in KOTA Territory at the Black Hills Bluegrass Festival, which runs June 28th through the 30th.
