TRG’s Laboratory Transformation Services are focused on helping health systems enhance lab utilization, efficiencies, and revenues. This can involve bringing lab services back ‘in-house’ if currently outsourced, consolidating lab services across multiple hospitals, and/or redefining lab structure, plant, staffing and operations to benefit activities across the system. TRG assists clients in gaining a clear understanding of the impact any lab changes could have on their organization, management and staff. And when change makes sense, TRG supports feasibility testing and execution of the preferred arrangements.

He was also Executive Director at Laboratory Sciences of Arizona, LLC, a merger and consolidation of laboratories for Banner Health System and Quest Diagnostics, where he successfully developed and implemented the venture’s inaugural business development plan which set it on a path to an annual revenue base of well over $100M.
“We are excited to have John join TRG to help continue the growth of our Laboratory Transformation Services,” says Howard Peterson, Managing Partner of TRG Healthcare. "We believe there will be a greater need for health systems to reclaim control and optimize lab performance in the emerging market as appropriate utilization, efficiency and coordinated care become more critical to compete and succeed long-term.” TRG Partner Jeffrey Norman who spearheads the firm’s business development for Laboratory Transformation Services added, “John’s affinity to the medical laboratory sector and his proven ability to help organizations leverage their strengths and evolve in response to changing market dynamics will serve our clients well and strengthen our firm’s offerings in the laboratory services arena.”
