The fire that destroyed a Hill City restaurant has been ruled accidental.
The Jan. 6 fire destroyed the newly built Big Horn Crossing restaurant.
An explosive sound was first reported but it was unclear what might have caused it. We now know it likely came from the kitchen.
According to a report from the State Fire Marshal's Office, the probable cause was a damaged LP gas line - which served a commercial cooking appliance.
The investigation is now complete. No one was hurt.
