Feeding South Dakota is doubling in size to meet the growing need of the Rapid City community.
The new location on North Creek Drive just off the truck route, is 30,000 square feet.
The move comes after 17 years of operating out of its 14,000 square foot location on North Maple Avenue.
Lauren Forsch with feeding South Dakota says their space was limited and they actually had to store some food off site.
"You know, not being able to bring in a donated truck because we wouldn't have the room to store it. Now if you look at our current facility, we have the room to bring in as many donations as we possibly could," says Forsch.
Forsch says they will be closed for the move until Wednesday at 10am, then they will re-open at the new location.
