House-sitter admits to viewing child pornography

A Rapid City house-sitter admits to using a family computer to view images of child pornography.
Nikolus Smith, 32, of Rapid City admitted to viewing and printing images of child pornography, while house-sitting for a local family in June.

Smith pleaded guilty to one count of possessing, manufacturing or distributing child pornography, and in exchange prosecutors will be free to generally comment during sentencing.
He faces 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors say the family had a young child in the home who was around the age of the kids depicted in the videos, but there's no proof Smith had any interaction with the child.
Smith will be sentenced on March 15, pending the results of a psychosexual analysis.
