Hundreds of people came together to share their love for beer.
It was the 3rd Annual Beerfest put on by Minerva's at the Ramkota Hotel in Rapid City.
After paying their entry fee, festival goers received a two and half ounce glass to sample the brews.
More than 30 breweries each brought four of their best craft beers, allowing for more than 120 different kinds to sample.
"Some of them are just limited edition beers, where there's only about a keg of it and they brought it in to showcase here today, and see what people thought of it. It's pretty cool really, gives them a chance to show off their craft a little bit," says Nate Stiefvater, General Manager of Minerva's.
There were also judges sampling the beers, choosing the best from several categories.
"Each judge samples two categories and they can be specialty, lager, bock, brown ales, amber ales, IPA's, and of course the list goes on," says Tim Smith, Judge and owner of Smith's Liquor Gallery.
The beers were numbered to keep which brewery they were from confidential from the judges, first place will take home a Shiner Bock guitar.
