A Rapid City shopping center continues to expand.
Rushmore Crossing, located on Eglin Street, will add-on four more stores. Three stores will go up between Fuji Japanese Steakhouse and Petco; the other will be placed next to Qdoba Mexican Grill.
Bob Scull and his team from RCS Construction have been hired as contractors. Scull says the project began last Thursday and is expected to wrap–up in June.
Business owners located in the shopping center say they welcome the rapid growth and the extra business that will come along.
"Oh I'm excited because the more stores that open up is going to draw more traffic and this is such a hot bed for traffic the last two years that we've been here," said Stewart Mehlhaff, operating Partner for Qdoba Mexican Grill. "So it's been awesome."
Leasing company Midland Atlantic has not released the name of the four stores slated for the shopping center. The 125-acre site opened in 2009.
