The intense construction on Jackson Boulevard is on schedule thanks to the mild weather.
Project Coordinator Sean Hogard says crews are currently installing a new 12-inch water main and getting ready to lay the new 66-inch storm sewer.
Currently, traffic traveling westbound is being diverted into the turning lane to allow room for machinery. And, 200 feet of Jane Drive will need to be closed for a period of time in order to do the work.
"Jane Drive will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday) for approximately two weeks to install a water main. We're about right on where we want to be. The weather has definitely helped out, we only lost a couple of days," says Hogard.
Hogard says they're on schedule to meet their March 4th deadline - that's when the paving stage for the west bound lanes begins.
