The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presented a $40,000 donation to the hospital at the group's annual meeting Friday. The auxiliary board voted to purchase a GE Panda Warmer for the Women's Health Nursery. Any funds remaining will be used by the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation as needed.
Volunteer coordinator Patty Forister said, "The purchase of the Infant Warmer is right in line with the Auxiliary's Constitution which states ‘The purpose of this organization (the auxiliary) is to promote and to advance the welfare of Memorial Hospital. The comfort and welfare of the patient is foremost in mind.'"
Of the $40,000 donated, $4,000 was generated by the annual Christmas Trees of Love Project, while $36,000 came from the Kozy Korner Gift Shop.
