Rapid City council members discuss Rush faux pas

The controversial intermission entertainment during a recent Rush Hockey game continues to spark conversation in KOTA Territory, now getting the attention of city council members.
Wednesday, members of the Legal and Finance Committee acknowledged their disgust following a beer chugging contest that ended with two college students vomiting on the ice. While the stunt won't likely result in any new policies or procedures, the council members feelings are clear.
"We spend so much money on detox and police and women's shelters on the one hand to be promoting this inappropriate drinking behavior," Alderwoman Bonny Peterson said.  "I don't believe its something that we need to address with the ordinance or a policy, I think that the regret that we all heard about was a teachable moment," Alderman Steve Laurenti said.
Tim Hill, the general manager of the Rush, has apologized and says it will not happen again.
