More information comes to light in the criminal case involving two former South Dakota Army National Guardsmen accused of stealing government property. One suspect is headed to trial, and one is dead.
One of the men indicted, 30 year old Damon Bohnet died of unreported causes in his home in Rapid City in late December. All charges against Bohnet have since been dismissed.

Meanwhile, Dennis Mallow, 46, of Black Hawk will head to trial on charges of theft of government property and theft from an agency receiving federal funds.

The alleged theft happened between October first 2009 and September 7th 2012.

Federal prosecutors say the crimes involved the theft of property purchased with funds from the Army National Guard Operations and Maintenance Appropriation.
