Ten horses remain in the care of the Pennington County Sheriff's Office after a total of 69 animals were impounded on January 8th.
A court order to remove the horses from owners and caretakers Donald and Terry Harwood was issued after it was discovered that they weren't being fed or watered.
The Harwoods owned half of the horses, the rest were being boarded on the property.
The remaining Spanish Mustangs consist of one stud and approximately nine mares. They range in age from 2-5 years old. These horses have not been handled much.
The sheriff's office is requesting anyone in the area, who would like to adopt one of these horses between now and Monday call 605-394-6115.
