Managers of a Rapid City cemetery look to the future after being cleared of allegations of misburials.
Rapid City Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Biegler and Mountain View Cemetery Supervisor Craig Nichols, presented their future plans to the Public Works Committee Tuesday.
After an audit of the Mountain View Cemetery to look into plot ownership, Nichols says they are ready to move past the rumors and look into future growth. "We'd like to see what direction the cemetery's going in; whether we need to purchase more property, different ideas at the cemetery as far as doing mausoleums, columbariums, ossuaries; different burial techniques that we don't do."
He also says they are also looking into an updated computer system.
