Destination Rapid City is adding some signage in the city to help tourists find their way to popular attractions.
The Rapid City Public Works Committee gave permission to Destination Rapid City to move forward with adding way-finding signs in town.
The group hopes to have signs up in 32 different locations by Memorial Day weekend. The signs will guide people to destinations such as the Rushmore Civic Center, Journey Museum, and Main Street Square.
Destination Rapid City President Dan Senftner says they've been talking about adding way-finding signs for several years now. "So it's strictly a way-finding package that pulls together our city, our community, and our tourist base so we just have been working on this diligently," said Senftner.
All these new signs will be funding completely by Destination Rapid City which means no cost to tax payers.
